We've Moved!!

We're now officially Eastsiders even though it was hard to kick the Westside habit. We moved to an area called Los Feliz, which is sandwiched between Hollywood and downtown LA. Needless to say, there's a lot of action, interesting people (i.e. loud Armenians next door firing up the BBQ at 2:00 am on a week night or the crazy Russian down the street who says he'll destroy Bill's car if he accidentally blocks his driveway again b/c "in Russia there are no accidents") and skunks and racoons the size of dogs in this artsy, funky neighborhood. If you've ever seen Swingers, they filmed a lot of the movie in our hood and made it a cool place to live. Madonna and Leonardo live here, too, but we haven't seen them yet. The TV show, "The Shield," is currently being filmed around the corner from our place.

It's a GIRL!!!

We found out today that we are having a girl!! We were convinced that it was a boy, so were a little shocked to find out the truth. And yes, we know the name, but it's a surprise! You can call her "Willabeth" (William + Elizabeth) for the time being.

Maybe she'll be a drama queen with that little hand on her forehead as if she is saying, "Oh, it's so hard being a baby." And yes, the second image looks like something out of "Alien."

A Bug's Life

So, we decided to go with a bug theme for the nursery after finding these prints at an art festival in San Francisco. Gosh, I just love this frog - it makes me giggle!!

Labor Day

Best friends from high school, Rachel and Leslie, come to visit CA. All 3 of us are pregnant (I'm 10 wks here) - Rach is due 6 wks ahead of me and Leslie is 6 wks ahead of her. Coincidence, or what?

Bill Graduates from USC

William Roberts Rietz graduates with his MBA from the University of Southern California. Sources say that Rietz is less than thrilled about his transition from school back to work. His summer plans include looking for a job while learning to surf and playing golf.
