The Diva Amongst Us

As noted I in my Facebook status today, I continue to be amazed that dressing Annabelle is like getting a diva dressed for the Oscars each morning. It's getting pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Right now, it seems to be one of her ways to get the attention back on her. And we hope that this "I-don't-like-that-kind-of-thing" me-centric mentality will blow over and that this is not a diva in the making.
Here are a few pics of the queen bee....

She's two and taking over the world....at least our world!

Emily & Dave came out from Charlotte for a "freaky deaky" LA week. We've been in mourning since they left. Here are some of the pictures from their visit and Miss Annabelle's birthday....

Baby's First Hair Cut

OK, let's hear that collective.....awhhhhhhhhhh. Miss Annabelle went to the beauty parlor for the first time. Surprisingly enough, she is quite taken with the whole grooming thing (unlike her mother). I think we have a girlie girl on our hands!

Cabo Wabo

'Tis me again bringing you an oh so prompt update (not). We took a recently took a trip to Cabo, which was absolutely amazing. As you can see in the pictures (click here for more), our little Annabelle grew a few gills as she never got out of the water (or la piscina).

The Great Elmo Obsession

We all live and think in an Elmo World, and I am a Eh-eh-Elmo girl.

Every toddler's favorite furry red friend has taken over our house. Miss Annabelle is now the proud owner of 4 Elmo dolls, all of whom perform various and sundry functions. She has an Elmo sweatshirt and Elmo jammies. We all walk around singing "It's Elmo's World." Annabelle only wants to wear Pampers since Elmo is on them. He's everywhere and even had a place on our Christmas tree.

At one point, I had to ask myself the logical question....how on Earth did Elmo become #1 when our child had never seen him on TV? Well, it's the same question being asked in this blog entry on The Poop.

Well Elmo, you've got us hooked. And maybe someday, somehow we can break ourselves from this addiction.
