Who are the people in your neighborhood?

Growing up in a rather WASP-y suburb of Dallas, our neighbors were always traditional families who had kids about the same age as my brother and me. In other words, they looked just like us.

This is not the case in Silver Lake. One of the very things I love about living here.

When we first met our neighbor, he was unloading his Mini Cooper out front. As he reached in the back to grab a box, I got a glimpse of the most colorful tattoo I'd ever seen. Then, I noticed the artwork covering almost every piece of exposed skin. It was rather impressive. The way he was dressed was most certainly indicative of rock star status.

And rock star, he is. He's the lead guitarist of the hard rock band, Buckcherry. Known for their smash it, "Crazy Bitch," their album was nominated for a grammy this year. They also recently played on the Tonight Show. (My starstruck mom stayed up to watch them play. She actually really enjoyed their performance).

And for you 24 fans, Gregory Itzin who plays/played former President Logan is also up the hill from us.

OK, I know I broke your cell phone, poured Q-tips all over the bathroom floor, stuffed Goldfish into the couch, messed up the stereo settings.....but how could you possibly be mad at a face like this???
